This motor vehicle accident was caused by an 18 year-old driver who was driving while intoxicated. The motor vehicle accident occurred before dawn on a Sunday. Most drunk driving accidents occur on weekend nights. According to the report the victim in this accident was struck while crossing a road. He was forty four years old. On account of the accident he suffered severe head injuries. Following the accident the teenage drunk driver was arrested and was charged with driving under the influence and with driving while intoxicated.
This motor vehicle accident involved an 18 year-old male driving in a residential neighborhood at about 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning. The accident took place when the teenaged driver lost control of his car. It turned forcefully and flipped, striking a pedestrian who had just gotten out of his car so as to pick up a pamphlet from the front yard of one of the homes. The home was for sale and had a sign and the pamphlets in the front yard. After striking the man the car continued until it was finally stopped when it struck a tree in front of the house. The pedestrian died from his injuries. He was 67 years old.
This motor vehicle accident involved a 19 year-old female driver also driving in a residential community. She left the scene of the accident after she struck a woman who was gardening in a flower bed in front of her own home. The teenage driver hit the woman so hard that she hurled her almost 150 feet. The female victim ended up slamming against a truck that was parked in the driveway of her home. The driver did not stop. Nearly 30 minutes after the accident the police located the young driver and arrested her. They located her not far from the scene of the accident. She claimed she was going back to the scene to take responsibility for the accident.
On a personal level it is sad to have to read about these accidents. These types of incidents are true tragedies. Victims who survive the accident are often left with injuries that result in lifelong disabilities. In situations involving a death the family of the victim suffers the loss of a loved one. Even the life of the teen driver is forever changed. Still, be it from speeding or from drunk driving these accidents keep happening.
At those times when these accidents do happen an experienced motor vehicle accident attorney can be of great help to victims and the families of victims. The attorney can help ensure that their voice is heard, that their rights are protected and that all sources of potential recovery are completely pursued.
