How do you decorate a den? A den is a great place to entertain family and friends. A good rule of thumb is to add as many distractions as possible to a den so that guests will be able to entertain themselves while visiting.
The most common, and perhaps most entertaining distractions for a modern den include giant TVs (LCD or plasma), pool tables, bars and comfortable leather furniture that is easy to clean up. If you hold a regular poker night, it’s also a good idea to include a poker table with enough seating for the whole gang.

Cabinetry and some neutral paint probably round out the style of most dens, unless you are going for a theme den like a sports bar or tropical getaway.
A sports theme may include sporting memorabilia placed on the wall, like an autographed ball and bat from a former major league superstar. Another idea is the sports still photo of a championship moment, mounted and signed by the team.

So if your sports theme is baseball in spring and football in the fall, you can easily change the décor with just a little work.
