Excellence in studies needs concentration. Learning is a process to develop understanding either it is academic learning or general. However, studies need more concentration especially at child stage. Children have divided concentration among playing games and reading books or doing homework. This stage of life is most critical one to control over but parents would be influential to control the situation. We can quote here example of Ben Carson that how he had overcome his class dummy mind-set to a successful student. His mother played a vital role to improve his studying ability and made him a successful student. Nevertheless, studies has direct link to the student and here the hard work of Ben Carson should also be appreciated. So, a mixed magnitude of parent student concentration can transit a class dummy student to successful student.
Did Not Happen Overnight:
The transition from a class dummy to a successful student did not happen overnight. Doesn’t matter, it is Ben Carson or any other student’s. Transition is a step-by-step process which could take several moths to achieve success. The process is defined below:

Define the Weak Points:
Very first thing is to define the weak points that would be confronted to perform well in studies. An accurate definition of weak points is half success, and any detract definition could harm enough.
Work on Weak Points:
Working on your weak points is switching towards improvement. Achievement is dependent on the work that you are doing to improve your weak points.
Work, Work, and Hard Work:
The only way to get success is hard work. Hard work can change you from a dummy student to an excellent one. It can be witnessed from the hard work done by Ben Carson to improve his student abilities.
Conclusion:
At the end of essay it is appropriate to again quote Ben Carson "It was at that moment that I realized I wasn't stupid". So nobody would be stupid, if he works to improve his weaknesses and with hard work achieve a level of understanding. Although, it is does not happen overnight, but, nothing is impossible.
