Competition exist in any type of business, because of that, businessmen employ strategies to get ahead. To be able to do this, you need to employ effective strategies not only to be ahead of others but for you to be able to establish a good identity. Therefore, letting your customers know about you is very important. To achieve this requires you to do a lot of things. You need a lot of time to do this. Aside from that, you need to be patient and don't give ever give up.
For you to establish a good name, you have to make sure that you can live up to what you promised. Selling products does not mean that you sell whatever product that you want to sell, the quality of the products you are selling affect your business substantially. Selling services also means that you make sure that you are good at what you do. But how can your customers identify you and set you apart from the rest of the businesses that offer the same? Your customers must get something from you that is beneficial to them which they can't get elsewhere.

You need to build your brand. Do you have plans of starting your own business? If you are, creating a great logo is the first thing that you need to consider. And there will be three fundamental considerations you need to make.
First, decide whether your logo will be text or image-based. Text-based logos are those that have a company's business name spelled out as the logo itself while those that are image-based make use of images which can either be concrete or abstract in meaning. Examples of businesses with concrete image-based logos include a picture of a typewriter for a publishing company or a tennis racket for a sporting goods store. An abstract logo is something that is not a direct representation of a business but speaks about what this business stands for. Nike's swoosh, for instance, is a classic example. Their logo can give their customers a feeling of lightness and agility which are the two things that the company promises to those who wear their products. The message a logo brings makes it a very important component of your branding campaign.
Second, your logo must be simple while delivering the message that you want to send across. Having a very complicated logo can work to your disadvantage because it crowds people's minds as to what you're really there for or how you can actually help them. This is something that you need to work on if you want to be successful in your business.
Thirdly, your logo should be easily translated to business cards and billboards, thus, it should be flexible. Your logo's scalability is important which means that if your logo is printed in full color or in gray scale, it should be able to retain its impact.
