Evolutionary EVA Shoes

So, what's the difference between wearing shoes made from natural materials like leather compared to shoes made from man-made synthetics like the EVA shoes? Of course, nothing beats the luxurious quality of natural leather but when it comes to affordability, synthetic shoes win by a landslide. EVA shoes are shoes made from ethylene vinyl acetate, a copolymer that is highly elastic, soft and flexible. There are many good things to look forward to in EVA materials. For instance, EVA material has good clarity and gloss, low temperature toughness and stress crack resistance. Other features like water proof, high UV resistance and odorless makes it better compared to rubber and vinyl. But it's the pretty designs and cheap price tags are the things that make EVA the new preferred material in footwear.

History dates leather as the only material used to make shoes. Well, that was long ago ' during the Middle Ages ' when turn-shoes were developed with drawstrings to tighten leather that were wrapped around the feet. By the mid 20th century, advances in the creation and production of shoes became more tremendous; with a multitude of designs and styles introduced over the years. The materials in which shoes were made have also been developed extensively; with a handful of choices between natural and man-made materials like PVC, PU, rubber, plastic, artificial leather, textiles and watertight membrane. EVA can be found in many shoes today. Some uses them only on the soles and linings so you may not be able to recognize them straight away. EVA has a rubbery foamy feel with a texture that is hard but bendable. If you still have no clue; then look at Crocs' the crocslit material they use is made from EVA.

Sports shoes use a lot of EVA since this material is tough, flexible, odorless and foamy. They are used to pad the soles of the shoes as a shock absorber. With patented toe protector, EVA cushions on the sole and non-marking sipped rubber outsole, these sandals are just the thing to get your outdoor adrenaline pumping.

You can find a lot of EVA action in boots today. Like athletic shoes, the material's foamy lightweight and yet tough and flexible feature makes them a preference in boot making these days. Knee-high EVA boots like the Women's Saratov Boots from Merrell are a pretty stunning pick if you're on the look for some chic but simple pair of booties. The boots feature a waterproof full grain leather upper in a knee-high boot style with rear lycra gussets at the collars. With an anatomical EVA foot frame and air cushion midsole, these booties will keep you warm and cosy as you style them away with your favorite tight jeans.

You can also find EVA flat shoes to go with your casual dressings. Pieces like this Sonnet Shoes from Hush Puppies use microfiber-covered EVA in its foot bed as cushions for all day comfort. The foot bed is supported by a flexible Zero G sole that is lightweight; making walking about doing errands easier. These slip on flat shoes is made from patent leather with a metallic leather upper and stylish pleating at the toe ' a lightweight comfy pair of shoes with a chic and classic style.

EVA has also been used on dressy sandals, pumps and stilettos. Find dressy EVA shoes like these Women's Maya Shoes from Aravon. These pretty Mary Janes are designed to elevate comfort without sacrificing style. With a leather vamp that features simple lines and an adjustable strap with Velcro closure for perfect fit, these pumps have a deep heel removable EVA Velcro foot bed to provide extra cushions for the sole ' a stunning pair of engineered pumps to style your way to the office.
