Here's the question : what do you purchase for your friendly bookworm of a faculty student? The solution? A book, in fact! However with thousands to settle on from, where will the book-giver turn? Why, to recommendations, of course. That is what I am here for. Here's a brief compiled list of nice books for all types of bookworms.

Fiction:
"A Thousand Splendid Suns," (Riverhead, $25.95) by Khaled Hosseini is deep, meaningful story from the author of "The Kite Runner". For a Nicholas Sparks fan (read: sappy love stories), check out "The Choice," by Nicholas Sparks (Grand Central, $24.ninety nine). Liked "Beautiful Bones"? Try "Almost Moon," (Little, Brown & Company, $24.ninety nine) by the identical author, Alice Sebold. Though hardcover is an choice, you will want to consider paperback for the sake of your school student's try to move it back to high school, in addition to for the sake of your wallet. "Love in the Time of Cholera" (Vintage International, $14.ninety five) by Gabriel Garca Mrquez and "Atonement" (Anchor, $14.95) by Ian McEwan, are both fabulous choices.

Nonfiction:
At the top of my very own list in nonfiction (especially for female readers) is "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert (Penguin, $15.00). For the NPR lover, there's the collected essays from "This I Believe" are on the market in book form (Holt, $14.00). For the actual fact fiend, get "The World Almanac and Book of Facts 2008," edited by C. Alan Joyce (World Almanac, $12.ninety nine) or "The Book of Useless Information," by Noel Botham and therefore the Useless Data Society (Perigee, $12.95).

And if all this looks a lot of too daunting to handle, go for "one,001 Books You Should Browse Before You Die," by Peter Ackroyd and edited by Peter Boxall (Rizzoli, $34.95). Then you'll pass the overwhelming variety of amazing books to choose from on to your recipient's shoulders.
