Family Theory - The Individual, The Family And The Community

Family means a group of people associated by blood relation. Despite the meaning, nothing could be grouped without strong believe in each other, even, blood relation. So, association by cognation does not matter enough, but, unification actually has substance to the theory of family. It is unification of thoughts, goals, and intentions and unification in hard times; in addition, the theory of family is about regard, respect, and equality. So, family is a group of individuals that have thought of many, but, when these thoughts are performed communally it is called family. Even sometime it disregards the cognation factor.
Cognation & Family Theory:
However, the exact definition of word “Family” is a group of people that have affiliation by cognation. Therefore, any group of people that have relation by blood is considered a family. Blood relationship is entirely an emotional and sentimental association which is amassed by purified interrelation.
How a Family Operates as a Psychosocial System:

A psychosocial system could not be pursued without strong interrelationship among family members. It is important to build faithful liaison among family members to operate in psychosocial manner. The one and only thing that matters in psychological and social aspects of behavior is communal interaction, it will be helpful to a family to operate in a psychosocial manner.
The Whole is Greater Than the Sum of its Parts:
The concept of family is based on the blood relationship between persons. A strong grouped attachment would become a strong social joint and play pivotal part to solve the family issues at individual level as well as at family level. Contrastively, an ungrouped family could face several issues that are not possible to solve individually. Therefore, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A joint effort could not be compared with an individual effort.
Role of Rules in Family:
Boundaries are determined by rules and regulations, hence, the rules have great importance to determine the boundaries of family relationship. The chaos situations in families could be rescued properly according to the set forth rules. A rule grants a roadmap to act accordingly in good faith and to strengthen the psychosocial system in family. It is important to chalk out the rules to have convenient relationship.
Overt & Covert Rules in a Family System:
Open, observable and secret or hidden rules are adopted in a family system. Both have two different dimensions, one could be distinguished by open lifestyle and other could be distinguished by secret lifestyle. Open lifestyle could help you to get feedback about; on the other hand, a secret lifestyle could not allow you to get feedback due to its hidden-ness. Overt family system is more suitable to live realistically.
Spouse, Sibling, Parents and Family System:
Spouse, sibling, and parent are the most important relationships in a family. Parental relation is unmatched and eternal relation. Other two possess its own significance in a family system. However, a balanced behavioral interaction between these relations is crucial to build a strong family system, and a single penetration could panic the family system.
Conclusion:
Currently family system is near to dead. The materialistic life does not allow adjusting and reconciling. In fact, it is family system which allows you to have a strengthen status and develop a psychosocial image socially. It is better to comprehend essence of family system that is “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts”. So, we should arrange ourselves as a whole to be more strengthened than the sum of parts.
