Video-theatre is an Italian invention, born at the beginnings of the Eighties, that connected play-acting with electronic technologies: it followed the example of the music, which in that period had conjugated music and video giving life to music videos.
The Riccione TTV Festival is a landmark for music, theatre, television and literature, because its purpose is that of representing the contemporary languages with a series of shows dedicated to them, also offering a cue for reflections with meetings and projections. Born in 1985, it became a biannual appointment in2000, and since 2002 it gives the Riccione TV prize to the TV program that proposes the most original relationship between theatre and show: the winners, till now, have been Piero Chiambretti, in 2002, Antonio Albanese, in 2004, Serena Dandini, in 2006, and Daniele Luttazzi, in 2008.
The hospitality of Riccione of course can welcome all the visitors of the festival and more: with its 450 hotels, 90 of which stay all year long at their guests’ complete disposal, Riccione is perfectly able to satisfy all the touristic requests, even of the most exigent guests. There are receptive structures of every kind, and the most appreciated certainly are the hotels with wellness centre, that apart from the traditional hospitality also offer the services usually typical of a Spa: massages, swimming pools, mud-baths and all the necessary to get regenerated.
The receptive offer of Riccione, though, goes beyond the holidays: it also offers specialized centres that can host various kinds of meetings, prepared for different affluences – from a few people to hundreds of participants. The luxury hotels with meeting centre in Riccione complete the touristic demand of the Adriatic Riviera, that demonstrates its capability to satisfy not only touristic, but also working exigencies, offering equipped spaces in a pleasant context.

The 2010 edition of the Riccione TTV Festival will be dedicated to Pina Bausch, the German choreographer died in 2009, to whom is due a genre of choreography that does not consist in the reproduction of gestures, but mostly in a personal interpretation of the form to be represented, also interacting with the scene and the scenic materials. The title of the edition in her honour, “Dance, dance, otherwise we are lost”, refers to a story that the choreographer told about when she was a child and in Greece, while visiting some gipsy families, she found herself n the middle of a dance, to which she had to participate. Seeing that she was embarrassed, a child went close to her and that’s what she told her: “Dance, dance, otherwise we are lost”.
A perfect chance, then, to spend a week-end in Riccione, participating in this event rich in innovative ideas in the scenic arts field – and, maybe, finding some time to dedicate to yourselves in the wellness centres of Riccione, entrusting to the cares of some professionals of relax.
