An alternative to buying a car

When it comes to buying a new car, you are generally limited to a small number of expensive options. You can go to a dealer and buy a new or nearly new car, either outright or on finance, or you can empty out your savings and scour the second hand car market. Each of these has their negative aspects.

Buying new always seems like a great idea. You get to choose exactly what you want; you can choose the engine, colour, wheels and all manner of additional extras that quickly help to bump up the price. Another plus is that you get the benefit of a warranty which should guarantee you hassle free motoring for three years. The problem of buying new is the cost. Even the cheapest of new cars is around £6,000. If you then add in the fact that a car loses roughly 1/5th of its value as soon as it leaves the showroom, then you can quickly see how bad a proposition a new car is.

The same is true with nearly new cars. They lose value quickly and you get a shorter warranty. You do get a reasonable choice of nearly new cars from dealers, but you never get exactly what you want.

Buying a second hand car can be a potential disaster. It generally requires a large outlay of savings and you can never fully guarantee the condition of what you’re buying. You could easily end up blowing all your savings on a heap of expensive rubbish.

Thankfully, there is another option. The easy way to avoid the problems is to take out a car lease from Lease 4 Less. Vehicle leasing allows you to pick from a huge range of cars. Car leasing also allows you to drive cars you’d never be able to afford to buy outright, and all for only a small monthly payment.
