These days, people are exploring different ways and means to maximize their resources. If you're a businessman, maximizing even your business card can go a long way. While before, these cards would only come in a single subdued color and contain no more than a business logo, a name and some contact information, people have been experimenting. You can see card will sorts of details from products and services to picture now while other cards even have prints on both sides. But though some think double-sided cards are a good way of maximizing business exposure, others believe it cheapens the whole act of exchanging business cards.

Everybody needs business cards and business cards remain an indispensable tool, even in this digital age. Cards are crucial for business, since they are useful for countless other forms of networking as well. They make the first and lasting impression of your business and are an easy way to get your message out about you and your business. Typically, business cards are printed on premium card stock and they are offered in variety of sizes and finishes. The quality of the paper you chose for your card is important. Either by 14 point or 16 point, high quality business cards are usually printed on heavy card stock. If you go for inferior quality with lighter stock, you run the risk of your business being judged the same.

You must be certain to go with color. You will be amazed with the vibrant, precise colors and when using quality stock and full color, the lasting impression of your business cards will mark. You can choose from a gloss UV coating or a matte / dull coating to give your cards a quality look. You want your cards to have better quality and feel the professionalism and that’s why making the right options are important.

So do you or do you not need a double-sided business card?

It is not something that would fit all kinds of businesses even if the one who first imagined the idea of printing on both sides of a card must have thought of practicality more than anything else. It would be entirely off to print the names of these businesses where people can see and purchase your masterpieces for instance, if you are an artist and you show your work in certain shops or galleries. It would be totally uncomfortable for you to have the flip side of your card featuring the shops or stores where you sell your products if you are a top business executive in a big manufacturing company.

But if you're a home-based businessman who makes custom greeting cards and a host of other services, then a double-sided business card should be good. Or if you're making gift baskets of all sorts, you can print the different varieties of the goods you make such as corporate gift boxes or personal gift boxes on the back of your card. Service-oriented businesses will typically be a much better fit for two-sided cards compared to retail o manufacturing businesses which will maybe have too much details to include, anyhow, that they wouldn’t fit even both sides of a card.

Another type of business that will benefit greatly from double-sided cards are those that are into digital arts. If you're a web designer for instance, you may want to showcase your design expertise be making an attractive two-faced design which of course should still include all the important details. One more idea is for entrepreneurs who frequently deals with international customers to have the other side of the card split into two parts, with both part bearing the same contact details but in a different language. Of course, the front page should be occupied entirely by information using the language that is to be used the most.
