When people talk about family planning, the first thing that comes to their mind is pregnancy. Like, for married couples, they plan how many children they want so that they would be able to support them with their needs including education. But other than what we already know about family planning, what is it really all about? Back when I was still in school, we never really focused in this topic. The government and the church are still having some issues whether family planning should be a part of student’s education. I myself would agree to have it a subject is schools or at least let the people know more about this so that they can avoid unnecessary situation where they will have a hard time living a normal life raising 10 children.
Family planning is the planning of when to have children, and the use of birth control and other techniques to implement such plans. Other techniques commonly used include sexuality education, prevention and management of sexually transmitted infections, pre-conception counseling and management, and infertility management. Now you know what this is being an issue for both the government and church in terms of implementing it to the students. Normally, the birth control techniques that are being used by people are the use of condoms, withdrawal, pills, and the menstrual cycle where before or after the woman gets her period, she is safe.

Family planning is not just about avoiding unnecessary pregnancy but also about how to get pregnant. Women sometimes think that it is easy to get pregnant when in reality, it isn’t. It takes a lot of dedication for couples to make it work. There are also concerns where one of them has issues producing. So family planning also teaches people what are their options. It also teaches them the proper lifestyle that they should implement in order for them to conceive.
