So you are getting ready to head off to the golf course and you want to arrive in style. If you’re not sure what to wear, here’s a brief “do’s and don’ts” guide to women’s golf apparel this season; whether practicing your swing or enjoying a drink at the clubhouse, you want to know that you are looking your best.

Do’s

Sleek Polo Shirts
Sleek, feminine polo shirts are always great for heading off to the golf course. Take advantage of the spring and summer seasons to sport bright, breezy colors and patterned designs.

The Ben Hogan Hat
The white cap made famous by the great Ben Hogan is not just for men. The vintage golf look of the iconic head gear looks stylish on lady golfers as well.

Long Ladies Golf Skirts/Skorts
Long, light-colored ladies golf skirts and skorts look fun, elegant and tasteful. Who says you can’t be both sporty and feminine?

Earthy Tone Belts
Earth tone belts are perfect for complementing this season’s light colored outfits. You will see these shades on the course the most during the warm weather seasons.

Don’ts

Big Break Head Wrap
As far as ladies golf accessories go, the Big Break head wrap is one that you’ll definitely want to avoid. It screams nineties, it’s loud, and it rarely comes in any patterns that actually work/make sense.

Baggy, Unflattering Polo’s and Shorts
Another carryover from the previous couple decades, baggy polo’s simply look bad on women golfers. They are unflattering to your figure and make your outfit look tired and drab. Same goes for baggy ladies golf shorts.

White Belts
Even if you’re wearing a dark colored skirt or shorts, the white golf belt is still a don’t. Especially in the spring and summer seasons where light colors are the way to go, the white belt will look especially unstylish and obnoxious.

The Tiny Golf Skirt
If your golf skirt is so short that you can’t actually play golf without it flying up and revealing more than you ought to, it’s too short. This is a definite don’t. Long skirts are not only more tasteful, but also more practical for the course.
