Voice Argument Writing Tip
A person has to have a voice as well as an argument. For example, Solomon was the wisest man on earth during ancient times as well as those that followed. Martin Luther stuck to his beliefs by putting up the 95 Thesis against the Catholic Church. The cynics were critical thinkers of their day, which is why we need to become that way too, otherwise no one will take us seriously in our work. Our world lives in a state of mind that wonders if anything is true, which is why it is important our words are solid with evidence.
One person to consider is Ronald Regan. He was a confident leader before and after becoming President of the United States. The difference between university and community college students is that they both think the opposite. University students think they are right, whether or not they are wrong; however, community college students think wrong, when in reality they are right. The individuals that get into Harvard, for example, are those that are smart, but not self-confident. In other words, get assertive, and do not let anyone hinder you from speaking up. Another example is George Will. He is also an excellent writer too along with Pat Buchanan. Pat became known for his description of the Republican party, and made them out as hyenas going through tall grass. What made him so memorable? This was due to the fact that he had his opinions clear for everyone to understand, which provided him the ability to come across self-confident.

ce of advice: do not hide behind any form of excuse that anyone can come up with in a whim. Avoid phrases that include “probably,” but instead, “I believe that…” A person can sense fear far away. For example, many believe George W. Bush to have become a part of the communist party when he was in office. If this is your opinion about him, then speak up, and make it the best evidence possible to show the world you are confident and smart. Many blessings to you in your journey as a writer.
