Mould allergies occur when an allergic individual develops a hypersensitivity reaction to mold spores. Mould spores are microscopic particles that get released from molds and become airborne. Molds are found in damp areas, both in indoor or outside areas. Mold spores will be released from the soil when disturbed by mowing the grass, raking the leaves or perhaps after a mild rain shower. Mold issues will occur indoors when there are water or humidity problems inside a building. Mold spores can become dispersed indoors even with the slightest disturbance. The best approach to avoid outside mould exposure is to stay indoors when activities that disturb the soil occurs like mowing, raking or when a slight shower. Indoor mould issues can be mitigated by controlling water or humidity problems, and using fungicidal agents like bleach. These environmental control measures are necessary to stop exposure and lead to decreased allergy symptoms. It'd be best to be evaluated by an allergist to get a higher understanding of one’s allergies, and get advice on the acceptable environmental management measures.
