With modern computer monitors using advanced technology to make graphics more clear, we are left with a few added problems. While our overall computer experience is enhanced, these monitors can be exposed to pixel burning if left active for long periods of time. This will occur if a static image is left on the screen for long periods of time, causing the pixels to burn and damage. This can result in diminished picture quality and even pixels that cease to work properly. So whether you choose to buy plasma or LCD, you should be diligent in assuring your screensaver can prevent this from happening.
