America has once again reached a decisive point in her history, as she prepares to elect a credible leader to take over the reigns of the white house. An election that has far reaching implications than meets the eye. The Republican lead Bush administration has utterly sacrificed the American dream on the alter of cheap political expedience. It is against this background that the popular call for a shift in the leadership gear has become inevitable.
Change in its apparent form is neither good nor bad; however, it is evaluated based on the possible outcome it achieves. Inferring from this premise, change should be pursued granted the desired change has a potential to improve the lot of the changing factor (Maxwell 94). As the good old aphorism says “the only reason for evil to triumph is for good people to sit aloof.”
Consequently, the thrust of this essay is therefore built on the firm logic that among all the contending candidates for the impending November presidential elections, democratic senator from New York, Hillary Clinton is by far better positioned to steer the nation back on course. Judging from her credentials, there is little doubt that she is one candidate that understands the change badly needed in America and is thus poised to deliver. My assertions measured by the quality of the vision she has for this nation encapsulated in her policies on healthcare, foreign policy and security, crime and above all the ailing economy.
Born on October 26, 1947, Senator Hillary Clinton trained to be a lawyer at the Yale Law School. She has being engaged in public service in various capacities and dispositions. The Clinton campaign policy is reportedly taking their campaign strategy to a higher level. A message that emphasizes a return to the moral principles of our society, captioned in the new campaign advert dubbed “what is right. Voters in Oregon and Kentucky believe that is precisely what it takes to get the job done. (Alexovich 2008). In addition, she is reputable active advocate of children’s and women’s rights. I will be discussing her major policies in the paragraphs below.

Security and Foreign Policy
Senator Clinton’s foreign policy options are in stark contrast to what is being pursued by the Bush administration. She appalls the unrealistic maintenance of an isolationist foreign policy that has eroded confidence in America’s leadership role in global public opinion. Top on the list of her foreign policy options is the ongoing war in Iraq. There is no gain denying the fact that, America was dragged into this war based on inaccurate intelligence information and most regrettably, to satisfy the Bush’s pre-arranged war agenda. Our continues military presence in Iraq is simply not helping the fractured regime to become efficient, neither is it improving the polarized security environment in that country.
