Another good advice would probably be the use of imagination for creating a realistic perspective of your close future, while you will not be renouncing the cigarettes. However, the today’s packages have lots of pictures portraying that kind of perspective information and many written warnings; it seems that a very small amount of the smokers have been acting upon quit smoking solution because of this explicit images.
Some useful thoughts connected to smoke renouncing:
Considering ourselves unique, strong; a human being ought to possess the strength to control the passions within;
analyzing the effects of smoking, for us AND our surrounding people and environment;
If we care about our image, we need to be aware of the effects of “getting ugly”: bad smelling breath, yellowish fingers, nails and teeth, bad smelling cloths, etc.

You may try whatever you feel that fits you better from the following: electric cigarette, sticky ads that can be applied on the skin, special inhalers, lesser nicotine cigarettes (it contain a smaller amount of nicotine, not giving addiction), pills, etc. But, do not remember to consult the doctors and specialists before choosing!
Be aware though, because if you want to give up those nasty habits and quit smoking, no replacements like food in excess need to be done! Make the wise choice and quit smoking now!
