Ammonia is not compatible with copper, thus different methods are used and a few companies have the expertise in this regard. Moreover, Ammonia is not a unstable gas but has a bitter smell, which is not harmful to human. It can give a temporary irritation and bad smell in the neighborhood in the event of leakage.

Today the air conditioner could give less performance if the coil for evaporation is not perfectly maintained. The refrigerant circulates in the coil therefore it is pertinent one should clean it often.
