On my last article, I talked about what wedding is all about. What exactly is a wedding and what makes it special for couples. But do you know that for women, other than the wedding, their dress for the event has to be so special as well? As in they wouldn't settle for any dress but their dress should make them beautiful when they wear it and it has to be perfect. Like those scenes in the movie where the girl is about to get married and she is looking for a wedding gown. The moment she sees herself in the mirror wearing the dress, she will tell herself how beautiful the dress is for her (along with tears in her eyes).
"A wedding dress or wedding gown is clothing worn by a bride during a wedding ceremony. Color, style and ceremonial importance of the gown can depend on the religion and culture of the wedding participants." And just like the wedding, the dress is different in other countries having different cultures and religion. Normally, a wedding dress is a white gown but in countries like China, India, and Vietnam, they wear the traditional color of good luck and auspiciousness which is red.

Before, the wedding dress that the bride wear depends on her status. If the woman is rich, it is common to see those wearing bold colors and layers of furs, velvet and silk. But if not, they wore their best church dress on their wedding day. "Today, there are wedding dresses available in all price ranges, and Western traditions have loosened up to include a rainbow of colors and variety of lengths, which are now considered acceptable." There are three ways on how a woman can get a wedding dress. She can purchase a wedding gown in bridal salons, they can wear a family heirloom, or they can have a dressmaker to create a wedding gown for the bride.
Bridal fashion these days are becoming unique as they use a theme for their wedding in order for the guests look good in the photos. When my sister got married, the theme was blue while my girlfriend's sister's wedding theme was purple. But the color for the dress goes for women only.
