How to Choose the Perfect Sports Bra

Finding a suitable sports bra, or alternatively known as athletic or active bras, is like finding a suitable pair of running shoes; you need the perfect fit to help you to perform better. But plenty of people ignore this necessity, thinking that a regular bra would do just fine. But it doesn't. A typical bra usually concentrates on fashion first, while sports bra concentrates on the fabric for better functionality. They are mostly designed to support a woman's bust line and to manage moisture. Of course, that is not to say that the latter is boring looking and is not fashionable at all. These days, you can find plenty beautiful and lovely prints on them.

Compression bras are also known as pullover bras and they are one of the original athletic bras. These bras press against your chest tightly to absolutely restrain movements of the breasts. They give the impression of a non-sexy, mono breast, which isn't very attractive, but it works. The Sera II Seamless Wire-Free Sports Bra is such a bra and is most suitable for women with small cups. This bra is made of stretchy nylon and absorbs moisture to keep you dry and cool. Like all compression bras, it goes over the head. There is no other way to it, which is why it would be difficult to wear and take it off, especially for women with bigger cup sizes.

For larger cup sized such as cup c or D, the encapsulation bras would be a better fit as they usually have adjustable clasps on the back. These bras provide maximum support and allow you to keep the natural shape of your breasts, unlike the compression-based ones which simply squeeze them out of contour. Better still, you can even wear them as outer garments. Try on the CW-X Firm Support Bra for size. It is shaped like 5-point star that covers from center out. The Soft Support System balances support and comfort for either low or high impact activities. You can choose between the underwire and the non-underwire. Typically, underwire bras would give additional support to women with larger busts.

The two types of bras mentioned above are suitable for high impact sports or activities. If you are engaging in low impact activities and would prefer bras that aren't too constrictive and yet offer support, then the response bras would your best bet. They are also known as seamless bras at times as they prevent seams that cut across your chest which could cause chaffing. Champion's Powerback Wire-Free Sports Bra offer comfortable support while its wide and curved straps can help to relieve strain. The soft cushioned back closure provides extra comfort while the mesh panel adds airflow to your body. This is bra supports full figured women.

Sometimes, the straps of the bras slip or roll away in the middle of your activities. If this is the kind of things that annoys you, then you'd best be wearing white racerback bras. This is especially suitable for people with small or sloping shoulder, which causes regular straps to fall down easily. The white racerback bras prevent this and give you the same kind of support that other athletic bras do. Under Armour's Core 2 Sports Bra provide essential support for low till mid impact activities. The racerback is designed with mesh back panel while the HeatGear fabrication keeps you dry and cool all day.

These athletic bras are usually tighter and restrict movements of the breast so it would not hinder your activities. Bear in mind that they also should be breathable. Aside people who engage in sports, women with active lifestyles would benefit a lot of these supportive bras too.
