In a marriage, the bride and the groom are the center of attraction and all the guests present eagerly wait for the bridegroom's wedding speech to be delivered during the reception. Though the father of the bride's wedding speech has conventionally been the most appreciated because of the emotional factor, there have been circumstances where the groom's speech has stolen the thunder. This is possible only when the speech has been prepared in advance and the groom has practiced well before delivery. Many groom's face complexity in writing their wedding speeches, but if you adhere to the following steps, your task will become simple and you will be able to prepare a good speech.

Be confident in what you are doing and the same will be reflected in your writing. Begin your wedding speech by welcoming and thanking all the guests for taking the trouble to attend the wedding. Thank the guests profusely.

Subsequently, thank your parents and the bride's parents for all they have prepared for you and your bride. Then thank all those involved in the wedding and organizing such an impressive reception. In the process, do not make the wedding speech repitative and enliven it with a bit of nostalgia, jokes, quotes, etc. This will make your speech attractive.

After all have been thanked, engage your bride in the speech. Say her that you are fortunate to get her as your bride. Share some anecdotes highlighting her qualities that make her exceptional. This may make you emotional. Do not hold back your emotions. Give a free play to your emotions and the speech will become quite sentimental. All, especially your bride and her immediate family members, will love this.

Towards the end of your wedding speech, you need to mention a few words about the maid of honor and the best man. First, speak about the maid of honor, since you have just finished talking about your bride. Then narrate about your best man interspersed with some funny episodes to make the speech zingy. Lastly, inform the guests, why you have chosen him as your best man.

People think the grooms speech should be in poetical language. Nevertheless, a true groom's speech is the one that emanates from the heart and delivered perfectly. To make your groom's speech more appealing and enthralling, mention the amusing, emotional and touching episodes that happened during the planning of your wedding. Express your opinion on ideas of love, loyalty, family, fidelity and commitment; and why they are significant for a marriage to succeed. You can also refer to the people who have influenced you positively and molded your personality.

Write down your speech previous to the D-day and practice it thoroughly. Practice will render confidence in you. Keep it precise but express all you want to say. Lengthy speech will bore the guests. Finish your speech by raising a toast to the parents of the bride, your parents and the guests.
