The bride's father, the groom, the finest man and maid/matron of honor normally give wedding speeches on the occasion. The speech could be impersonal in nature. They are allowed the freedom of injecting certain personal comments about the bride and the groom as well as wit in their speeches.

The father of the bride delivers the first wedding speech followed by the groom, the maid of honor and lastly, by the best man. Delivering his speech on this serious occasion, the bride's father welcomes and thanks the guests for presenting themselves in his daughter's marriage. Then he talks about the character of his daughter, her qualities, reminiscences about her childhood, narrates her achievements and skills. He then briefly talks about his new son in law, which is somewhat impersonal. finally, he toasts to bothe the bride and the groom.

In reply to his father in law's speech, the groom proceeds to deliver his wedding speech. It is the most formal speech of the ceremony in contrast to the sentimental speech of the bride's father and humorous speech of the best man. The groom emphasizes on the important aspects of family life referring to love, loyalty, fidelity and promise. The groom may add some witty remarks with a light sense of humor.

The maid of honors wedding speech follows the bridegroom's speech. Normally, she delivers a short, sentimental speech narrating her association and shared moments with the bride. She also focuses on the fine qualities of the bride and concludes by raising a toast to the bride.

The best man's speech is more attractive. The speech comes straight from the feeling and dwells on the good and positive aspects of the groom. This helps in creating a good image of the groom before the gathered guests and helps others as well as his future in laws to understand him better. In between, the best man can crack jokes to make humor to entertain the guests. It entertains the guests. In the end, he raises his glass to all in attendance there and thanks the guests for supporting and sharing the special day.

While delivering your wedding speech be polite and confident, and wear a smile on your face. Before speaking blank out your mind completely, enjoy yourself and focus only on the moment. This can help you mentally prepare to deliver a wedding speech.
