There are many designs of car sub woofer being manufactured by the kicker. The best way to place a sub woofer is to place it within a box. The closed box acts as a sturdy as well as a low resonance chamber. This makes sure that the sound coming out from the woofer is well shaped. Due to the presence of the box, the efficiency of the woofer increases to a greater extent. Doing this will also increase the power of the output sound. But how to make a kicker sub woofer box?
There are few tools required for accomplishment of this task. The usage of such tools will reduce the man power required and makes it easy to complete the task. It may include a circular saw, a speaker wire, wood screws, a jig saw, a twelve inch sub woofer manufactured by kicker, a speaker wire and a terminal cup.

I 14 into 14 square is cut out of the medium density fiber board. Then another one similar to the previous one is cut out. These two squares will act as the front and back sides of the closed box. Now two more pieces are cut in the medium density fiber board with the dimensions 12 and 14 inches. These two pieces are used as the side portion of the box. Similarly for the top and bottom two pieces of dimensions 12 by 12 inches is cut out from the medium density fiberboard. Now as we have the parts, it can be assembled together to form the box.
This step we have to connect the pieces to form the box where the woofer should be kept. Screws are used for connecting all the pieces. To ensure the rigidity of the box, wood glue is applied in all the joints and allowed to dry for some time. First join only the top and bottom pieces with the help of the side pieces.
On completion of the above step, there will be a hollow box so if we fix the side panels in such way so as to overlap the top and bottom pieces then the box will be a completed with outer dimensions of 14 into 14.
The next step is to fix the woofer inside the box. For this a hole as the same size of the woofer is required. In order to do this one can use the woofer itself as a marking tool and mark the edges. Then the shape is cut out. If the woofer is not used for exact marking then the shape will not be perfect and looks awkward so to avoid it make sure that the woofer is used to mark the edges to cut the box.
In this step a hole is created in the back portion of the box for fixing the terminal cup. This hole should also be done in the same way as the hole in front was made. Here also the terminal cup is used to mark the portions to be removed.
