Ok, so you need to boost your sales and you have come to the conclusion that video is the way to go. You base that on the fact that video has taken the net by storm over the last few years. It is literally everywhere and can be uploaded to just about every major traffic area in cyberspace. Video promotion tips are same as those you probably use in other areas of your social marketing strategy. Your tags comprise an important part in the rankings your internet marketing videos receive through Youtube searches. You have to be specific when designating keywords for your video content. But be careful because over populating the descriptions with keywords will have a negative effect on your rankings. There are many more tips and tricks you can use once you get your video online, but in this article we are going to focus on the production part of the process. There a few simple things you can do to make sure your video makes a real impact on your audience.
1) Go to the sales page (or your sales page if you are selling your own product) and begin constructing your video promotion script based on the elements you find there. When you begin to write your script you should try to put it into a Feature Advantage Benefit(FAB) structure for each aspect of the product you are trying to sell. This FAB is guaranteed to make people listen longer and will increase your conversions. It is very straightforward to use. You simply choose a Feature of the product you are trying to sell and state the Advantages or definition of this feature. Then you explain the Benefit or personal gain of this feature. So if you want to sell a laptop you could say that it Features an HDMI input which means that you can import high definition videos from your personal camera (Advantage)so you will never miss a single detail of those special memories you capture (Benefit). The thing to remember here is that onscreen you should list the features with words, but the Advantages and Benefits should be spoken and illustrated by images wherever possible. That works wonders. Each feature should also be given full screen attention so if you use Keynote or Powerpoint, only place one feature on each slide.

2) Most people forget that you really only have about 8-15 seconds to really engage your audience. You have to give them a good reason to sit through your video promotion right away. A great way to this is by using a very simple strategy. Your opening statement should include something that explains what you plan to show them in the video, the key outcome or what they get by buying the product, and why or how it will help them. So back to the laptop example. I should say something like, "In this video I'm going to show you why the HP Pavilion is going to change the way you do business forever and why it will be the last computer you ever need to buy. This product is going not only going to save you money, it is going make it simple for you to get the most out of your time as well."
3) Now that you have the script basics in hand, you just need to search for the images and music that are going to make your video one of a kind. Do a search for "Royalty Free" or "Free Royalty Free" images and you will find a wealth of websites that have just about everything you could ever want. The paid sites have more options, but you can find a fair amount of high quality designs on the free sites as well. Remember that you are looking for backgrounds and images that make your FAB statements more powerful. Adding short animations to your video promotions is a great way to reset the viewer's attention and keeps them interested.
4) Don't make it more difficult than you have to. Using simple programs like Keynote or Powerpoint in conjunction with Camtasia or Camstudio will produce excellent videos. Practice makes perfect. If you don't know how to do something, just type in the basic idea as a search phrase and add the word "tutorial" to the end. Odds are there are thousands of great tips on that very subject. In fact, chances are that there is a VIDEO tutorial showing you just how it's done. Video really is King...
