As technology in the industry grew so did animation. Along came the pc and within a short while the 3D animation became a reality. The animation industry embraced this new form of art and as a result, what took a couple of people to attain was now cut down to a handful or less. The comp had the capabilities of doing much of the work. In case youre thinking that there goes the pc replacing people this is not the case. What it did do was offer the opportunity to have better tools to produce a greater job. There still has to be the operator of those tools, and that is where the animator comes in.
In fact, the inception of 3D animation may have opened the door for numerous other job opportunities. Being as 3D animation is now used in a few other industries, not only does it need somebody to design it, it presently needs people to present it.
Each animation has one thing in common it got to start with an idea or concept. And then this idea is put to a story board. Here this is where the idea is now in a visible state.
