The first step is the disconnection of grounding cable and the battery of the vehicle. The grounding cable is connected to the vehicle s frame through the lead that is negative. With the help of a Philips screw driver the clamps of the cables are all loosened and kept separate from the negative lead.

Then the amplifier position is located after which the manual is gone through for any kind of procedure to be followed. The woofer can be placed either in the cargo area at the rear back or the car s trunk in the case of models like hatch backs or SUV. The speakers are then connected to the output corresponding to each input.

The speaker wires are then routed to the location where the sub woofer is present. The amplifiers may be either close by the sub woofer or even far from them. In such cases the wires are routed to the sub woofers through the carpet layer under the floor of the vehicle. Hiding of the wiring is very essential to give your car a highly professional look.

The trim panels at the opening of the door are all pried from the floor free by using a trim panel removal tool. The carpet is then lifted up and the wiring is laid beneath it. Then using the hands the trim panels are replaced.

The positive wires are then connected to the positive terminal and in the same way the negative terminals connected with the negative wires. That is in general corresponding connections between sub woofer input and the speaker wires are made. At last a re connection is established between the vehicle battery s negative lead post and the grounding cable. Then the cable clamps are fixed in its position and re installed using a Philips screw driver.

Knowing how to install a sub woofer in a factory stereo is of great importance in maintaining a car.
