Pearl Earrings Make the Perfect Valentines Day Gift

Diamonds might be a girl's best friend, emeralds, rubies and sapphires might be grand jewels for girls, but pearls? Pearls are the epitome of classic beauty. And who wouldn't want to get a classically beautiful gift for Valentine's Day?

Pearls are the classy girl's mainstay. There was a reason Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis was rarely seen without them ' they go with practically anything, and step up your style with an air of sophistication. And with wedding season just a few mere months away (yes, it really will be here before you know it), nothing says classic like a pearl necklace, pearl earrings or a single pearl ring.

But which of these pearly jewelry options suit a girl best for Valentine's Day? A pearl necklace can look too prim and proper, a pearl ring is hardly noticed, but pearl earrings? Those are divine absolutely anytime.

But there are lots of different types of pearl earrings out there. Which to get your girlfriend for Valentine's Day? Let us count the ways:

Simple and small: Stud pearl earrings are small, simple but oh so sweet. Try a pair of sweet pearl earring studs from Helzburg Diamonds, Zales or Ross and Simons. (Note: make sure you don't let her see the 'diamond' in the name on the box'that could either cause panic attacks or prove to be disappointing, depending on how long you've been dating your girl.)

Fall from grace: Dangly pearl earrings look elegant with hair worn up or down, dressy outfits or casual. Your girlfriend will love how dangly pearl earrings elegantly hang from her earlobe.

Pretty in pink: It's hard not to be pretty in pink with pink pearl earrings. Dessy has a very pretty pair of studs, so there's not too much pink. A tiny bit of pink isn't overwhelming, just a touch of girly class. What girl doesn't like that?

Tahitian pearls: Dark pearls are out of the ordinary, a different take on a pearl than its classic pearly white. Darker colored pearls, or Tahitian pearls, are a great gift for a girl who doesn't like to conform, and wants to be classicly chic but not look like everyone else.

Multi-Pearl earrings: A different approach to the earring entirely; these aren't dangly earrings, but they look like a bit more than studs. These earrings by Heavenly Treasures are a great pair of pearls.
