So what is being successful? Being successful means lots of things to many people. For many people it means financial wealth and independence which could include a top quality residence, holidays travelling the world, and financial security for them and their children. For others it can mean admiration, being looked at as a leader and having many people looking up to you. It may perhaps also mean freedom from the concerns and worries that a lot of people have in their lives.
Success can mean happiness in finding satisfaction from life and getting to the conclusion of your life knowing that you've enjoyed it to the full in an honest and honourable way. Not winning against others, winning against yourself along with your own personal fears and restrictions. In reality every person would like to be a winner in their life and to have the best that their life can offer. Nobody enjoys living in poverty and mediocrity.

Some of the most practical success ethos ever devised have in reality come from biblical material. Everyone's heard the expression 'faith can move a mountain'. This is possibly true that with enough faith and dedication one could move a mountain where it might take some time, but the idea that with faith and belief you can accomplish anything you want in your life is fundamentally true, and has been proven time and time again right through history.
If you're certain that you can accomplish something, you have no doubts, and you trust that it will happen so single-mindedly it is virtually as if it already has, that reality starts to develop. I have no idea how this works but it actually does. You tend to find yourself in the right place at the right time, talking to precisely the kind of person who can help you, or finding yourself in a situation that you would find impossible to imagine, but that assists you slowly toward your desired goals.
Now I'm not one for mumbo-jumbo and giving people fake hope, but this has definitely worked in my life and can work in yours. You just need to educate yourself to think in that way. You can usually tell who the positive people are. They walk with their heads held high and with spring and swiftness in their step. It's obvious that they know where they're heading and are not just aimlessly moving through life with no direction. On the other hand you can see the person who has no direction or desire. They usually walk with a slouch, failing to pick up their feet properly off the ground, and mumbling rather than talking clearly. It's as if the whole weight of the planet is on the shoulders, and to them it feels like it is. What sort of person do you want to be?
So start off by behaving more positively in your life. At first you could need to lie to yourself. Tell yourself it's a astonishing day, that things are great, and that you will realize your goals. Tell yourself time and time again. Each time you say these words you are training your mind. Training yourself to the extent that in the future you will come to believe these things. I'm not talking about giving yourself false expectation for the sake of it, but helping you to move away from the unhelpful feelings you have in the direction of a more constructive outlook.
Each morning tell yourself how blessed you are to be alive, what a great day it is, and how appreciative you are for your health, your family, and all the good things you have in your life. This will prove a great start towards overcoming your fears and concerns for the future, and changing yourself into a person who knows that they can succeed. Good Luck.
