The negative cable from the car s battery is removed initially. The battery s negative terminal is actually connected with the negative cable and to the car s frame. The cable s clamp is loosened with the use of a Philips screw driver. The clamp is removed and it is kept aside until the task is accomplished.

With the help of a Philips screw driver the positive lead cable is connected to the ring terminal of the amplifier. Before being connected to the amplifier the fuse is removed from the ring terminal. A hole is drilled into the engine compartment s firewall. Through this hole only the power is supplied to the amplifier location from the car battery. The wiring protection is important and for that one must use a rubber grommet for covering that hole.

The amplifier is mounted on the trunk of the car. In the case of trucks the amplifier is mounted below the seat to provide ventilation. The vehicle s stereo is removed. The removal procedure varies from one vehicle to other. The manual which is issued along with the vehicle by the manufacturer is to be referred often. The stereo unit is pulled to the dash till the wiring in the rear.

Using the hand, wiring groups are disconnected. The plastic binders are used to grab all the groups. The wiring harness adapter is connected to the groups. Clear indications will be given on how to connect them. Now a connection is established between the stereo of the car and the adapter. The signal cable and turn on lead is connected to the harness adapter. The panels are removed by using a trim panel. The wires are laid under the carpet. The power supply is run from the batteries to the amplifiers.

The power supply is connected. And then power on the lead in the amplifier. The desired speakers are connected to the amplifiers. The stereo in the dash board of the vehicle is replaced. The clamps are all re installed. Then the fuse is also installed.
