Everyone enjoys listening to music while on drive. When CD player stops doing its job we take it to a repair shop. But before doing that we can try out few simple ways of car CD troubleshooting which may save us from paying huge amount for repair.

Troubleshooting involving diagnosis and then fixing it by finding the cause for the problem. First step involves focusing on a specific problematic area . Next step would be to check if the connections are proper and the last step is to troubleshoot. Let us look at each step in detail

First our aim is to find out which area of the audio system causes the problem. It can be speaker, radio or the CD playback. This step is done so as to save time and this will help in finding quick solutions to fix the problem. It includes checking fade controls. This is done mainly when one speaker works but the other one does not.

Another important things is to check proper connection of power cable to the speakers. Security is also a major concern. So always ensure that if power cable is connected only to positive terminal . It is also necessary to check if the CD player does not work properly because the fuse inside the glass is blown out . So always check the fuse box of the power cable. So by checking out these things our problem gets narrowed down.

Next we have to check the wiring of all connections. From an ordinary electronics shop get an electronic meter which is easily available. This electronic meter something like radio shack helps to check if current is flowing properly through the speaker wires. Separate the speaker which is usually mounted. This is done by unscrewing. Now by use of alligator clips to the wires of the speaker we check if we get reading. If we get a reading it means current is properly flowing through the wires but the problem is with blown out fuse which can be easily replaced. Now check if we can hear sound from the speaker. On the other hand if we see any reading it means there is a problem along the wire. If that is the case let us not try to repair the damaged or broken wire. Buy a new wire and try to look for the reading.

The last thing that needs to be checked is the harness of the wiring under the dash board . Use flash light to do this. If everything is fine, the positive cable is disconnected from the battery of the car and leave it like that for a minimum of ten minutes. This time gap is given for the player to come back to the conditions in which it was preset in the factory.

After all troubleshooting methods are done attach the player back to the sets. We may need to reset the clock and tuning stations. Regularly clean tour sets with chemical reagents which prevents dust accumulation.

By looking out for the above mentioned ways of common problems of CD player , car CD troubleshooting paves way for us to overcome the dull trip on the road by rejuvenating us with fresh peppy music and of course saving our pocket.
