Williamsburg is an independent city of Virginia located on the Virginia Peninsula in southeastern Virginia. It was a fortified settlement in 1632 and was originally called Middle Plantation, but was renamed Williamsburg in 1698. The town received a royal charter as a city in 1722.

Williamsburg Inn – This is a smoke free luxury hotel in East Francis Street. It has 91 rooms and 14 suites in its 3 floors. It is also a member of the Historic Hotels of America; plus, the Leading Hotels of the World. It has two 18 hole golf courses, two outdoor pools, a fitness center, clay tennis courts, Spa, jogging trail and an upscale restaurant. It caters to pets but there is daily pet fee of $50.

Williamsburg Lodge – This is a smoke free hotel along South England Williamsburg. It has 323 rooms in a 2 storey building. It offers two restaurants, a fitness center, heated indoor pool and Spa. It is near the historic district.
