Attraction Marketing has altered not only my business, but many people on my team and the entire network marketing population. Things begin to change as soon as you begin to adapt yourself to attraction marketing. This is the most interesting part of this phenomenon. Not only will your business change, but your attitude will change, your posture will change and your confidence level will dramatically change. Wow - just from practicing attraction marketing? So what exactly is it anyway?
Attraction marketing is precisely what it says. You are attracting prospects to you through your marketing attempts. However there is a large difference in the way you actually market. Traditionally if you were marketing a product or service, you might put an ad in the newspaper, or a local magazine or maybe online somewhere. Or maybe you created a pamphlet or flyer and distributed them. Whichever route you took, you were out there pushing your product or service to others and hoping they took an interest and purchased what you're offering. Now compare these strategies to attraction marketing strategies.

With attraction marketing, you may still generate that flyer, or even the ad, but instead of pushing your product or service, you are marketing a solution to whatever problem your product or service can answer. You are giving this solution through upfront, in-your-face value. Imagine this scenario: You have this fantastic hammer to sell. Not only does it have one of the softest handles, but it has the hardest hit even though it is the lightest one on the market. Now these are significant features, and good ones to point out if you were selling them. However… try to think of all the people that are in the market to buy hammers everyday. Not many come to mind. However construction workers certainly need a good hammer and a fine one like yours might really assist them. Instead of creating a flyer about these awesome features, produce a flyer about how heavy hammers can create shoulder fatigue, hand arthritis and wear out tool belts more rapidly. Show your target market you care about what they are going through with value. Then after they learn that you care about them, present a solution to their problem. This is only a simple example for the point of this article. However, this principle can be brought to any market, in particular network marketing or MLM.
See, once people recognize that you are not trying to "sell" them, they are much more open to buy. People hate to be sold, but love to buy. Think about that. Use that to your benefit. You want to offer value to your target market. Give them information that can help them make a beneficial decision. If they don't feel pressure to buy from you, and you are giving them excellent information full of knowledge and value, they will respect you, and they will buy from you. People only purchase from people they like and trust. Earn their trust through attraction marketing, and you will earn a sale.
So how does all this attraction marketing relate to your MLM business? First, figure out who your target market is. Once you figure that out, you need to figure out what problems they are having. Then you need to propose a resolution to their problems. Start giving out value in the form of anything…newsletters, articles, ads, discussions online, anywhere your target market hangs out. Promote yourself and relevant value up front, not your product or service. If you start to do this, you will notice that people become interested in who you are and what you are doing. They see you in the leadership role because you are the one giving out the value. Once you have established your reputation, you will have leads calling you everyday. When people start calling you, their defense walls have already been taken down. Get to know them, see where they are coming from and offer them your solution. And remember you never get what you don't ask for.
