Car stereo is an integrated part of a car. Factories stereo have electrical wiring connectors that has all the wires housed in it.this set of wires include ground wire, wire for the speakers, memory and main power switch. There exist two connectors in this which has one end connected to the original connector and the other one is connected to the radio. This stereo is available in all the leading stores in the city. To have the new radio fixed properly we may need a new face plate for it. Basic details like year and model of the car is enough for getting the suitable type of radio. Main tools required for removal of this factory car stereo is philips screw driver, a set of ¼ inches socket driver, a set of ¼ inch sockets and also a normal screw driver.

Remove any screw from the top front part of the car either the speedometer and in the dash cover remove it along the bottom line of it. The panel on the driver s side under it can be removed. The dash cover which is concealed under the panel has screws. The screws beneath the steering is removed so as to remove the panel above it.

Using a common screw driver remove the cover out. To keep the dash covers on there are snaps that snap into a hole. But if the fuses are on the drivers side then look for the screw which may be inside the cover. The dash cover will be held by these screws. the dash covers are held just by the snaps and screws.

The screws which hold the radio and which is around the face plate is pulled in. and the radio is pulled out so as to remove the electric connector and antenna. The face plate is opened and the right one for your car can be chosen. One should ensure its perfect fitting in the car with the space given.

The face plate is installed on the front of the radio and the tangs are bent so as to hold the face plate in the positon. Put all the screws and install all the dash covers as such as how it was before.

The above mentioned steps can be very useful in knowing how to remove a factory car stereo.
