The Jeep Commander (2006 2007) was introduced in the year 2006. This is another jeep model of the Chrysler Group. It belongs to the mid size SUV class. This car debuted in the market at the New York Auto Show in the year 2005. It has the capacity to carry 7 passengers. This car was first manufactured by the Magna Strye and Daimler Chrysler till the year 2007. From the year 2008 the manufacturing was undertaken by the Chrysler Group. By 2011 this car is scheduled to discontinue production. This announcement was based on the new 5 year plan for restructuring by the Chrysler Fiat. Daimler Chrysler developed a V6 engine with Bluetec technology for the Commander of various markets including Europe, South Africa, South Korea and Chile. The market productions of this car begin in the year 2006. The various sites where this car is being assembled include Detroit, Michigan, Graz and Austria. It has an XK platform.
