Skoda is an automaker whose origin is from Czech Republic. But presently the car manufacturers have been bought off by the world known Volkswagen. Many of the designs are inspired by the Volkswagen also. The Fabia is manufactured and sold under the super mini class. It is a hatchback model. It was launched in the year 1999 and had its second generation in the market in the year 2007 having undergone many changes. Skoda Felicia was its predecessor. There are other models of Fabia in sedan and estate models with different model names. The hatchback had five doors and can easily accommodate five people. The boot space was a little smaller. The engine was known to produce high power and torque. It also had very high pick up. It had models that ran on petrol and diesel.
Clearly the market of Fabia can be divided into two generation. The first generation lasted from its launch to 2007. The first generation cars were introduced in the motor show in Frankfurt. The Fabia had an MPI engine which was a modified version of the engines earlier used. The major components used were from the Volkswagen. Many critics say that a part of the success of Fabia was because of the collaboration with Volkswagen. The components were included in such a way that they cost less than that of the original Volkswagen. The engine had a pushrod design. This design was not very efficient because it interfered with the performance of the engine.

The size of the car was bigger and heavier than the other hatchbacks. It increased the running cost which was more than many of the smaller cars. After the modifications made to mark the second generation, the Fabia was released in the motor show in Geneva. The changes included the modifications made in the grille and also the fog lights were introduced. The rear looks and the steering wheel also underwent changes. The Fabia on a whole had a more sporty touch on it.
The design of the engine also was improved to give higher performance and better fuel efficiency. After the transformation the Fabia became a little larger in both height and length and hence overall volume. The boot space was improved and made little larger than the first generation Fabia. The Fabia was initially manufactured in three different trims. They are elegant, classic and comfort. The classic version of the car had all basic features and could be upgraded if the customer wanted to. In comfort some extra standard features were available like the moon roof and comfortable interiors. The Elegance on the other hand was more expensive and had almost all the latest technology in it. The radio ash kit of the Skoda Fabia provides a facia plate. It also provides an adaptor to enable the customer to use universal sized radio system. Along with this, it also comes with a set of connecting wires. These come with many sets of pins that connect various players to the radio.
