If you love singing and have chosen it as a career, it is important that you have the dedication to make it happen. To become a singer it requires more than having a talent and good voice, it is more than that. If you want to become a singer you need to learn about the music industry, and you also need to learn the basics in singing. Along with learning the basics you need to work hard if you want to succeed in your chosen craft. It is very important also to have a dedication and determination in pursuing your dreams.
The foundation of your career as a singer is learning about the basics. A lot of singers nowadays, who have become popular started only with learning how to sing, and look at where they are right now. You too can become one of them. If you have the talent in singing is only secondary to learning how to sing. Talent is useless if you do not learn how to sing, so it is very important. But if you have talent given by God, there is no doubt that you can master how to become a good singer. And you will be able to reach the dream that you really want.

In learning the basics in singing, the first thing that you should do is to learn proper breathing technique. This is the first thing that you should conquer if you want to become a singer. Because without proper breathing technique you will not be able to hold notes long. To do this, start by breathing in through your nose and hold your breath for about 8 seconds. This is to allow a lot of air to enter to your system. This is better than breathing through your mouth. And then exhale through your mouth by hissing. This also allows you to let out the air without running out of breath. Practice this 5 7 times.
Another basic that you should learn is proper diction. In singing, proper diction is very important so that the audience listening to you will understand what you are singing, and not just hearing a not quality music. It is advisable that you say some tongue twisters, at first slow and then gradually increase the speed. This is to help you speak properly whether in fast or slow phases. Some of the tongue twisters that you can practice are the following:

•God Blood
Bad Blood

Or you can make your own tongue twister by creating words that start with the same letter. And recite it over and over again until you can master them.
One more basic in singing that you should learn is to write those tongue twisters so that you can practice them every day, whenever you’re free.
