There is lots of information available online about promoting a membership website and finding new clients. This is very good but you have to remember that if you are losing them then it is harmful for you. Here are few good tips to help you keep your members happy, so they would never fill as if they are not a part of your membership site.

You should offer great Value:
This goes without explaining that members will leave if they are not getting new and exciting information and you need to provide this regularly to them.

Do not forget to hold regular surveys:
You should not just guess that what your customers are thinking. In general they all will tell you that what they think about your membership website, you should ask to people to give their valuable opinion; and even if you send them an email with a couple of questions, you will definitely get responses.

You need to stay one step ahead of your Customers:
You should look for the trends in your niche and address them when they are burning hot. Some markets changes so quickly that it is hard to keep a pace with them, you will have to do research on time to time to ensure that you know what your customers will want before they do.

Hold a contest:
It is advisable that you show your customers that you love to give things away for free. Give them a good reason to come back to the website, and check to see who the winner was. Schedule a draw date for a few days after the membership renewal date so members wouldn't even think of dropping out.

Keep in time to time communication:
Few people need more emails from you than others, and they will appreciate your communication. Few of them don't like the constant flow of emails, for you it will be a bit of a juggling act to try to get your emails going out at an appropriate rate.

Maintaining your members is a key to success as it will make your website grow just by word of mouth. Few of your members may belong to forums in the niche and recommend your website to many people. They may have friends that they send to your website.
A membership website can be the biggest payoff on the Internet; if you treat your member in a right way and listen to the essential things they have to say.
