Learning to Share Your Emotions With Him

Have you been in a relationship wherein the beginning was so perfect and you thought that it was the relationship dreams were made of? You enjoy your days together and see each other everyday. It seems that you are having fun and this relationship is for keeps.

Then when you start telling him about your thoughts and feelings about the relationship, everything turns sour and the fairy tale becomes a nightmare. As you slowly share your expectations in the relationship, he slowly begins to stay away from you and suddenly stops taking your calls.

You try so hard to keep the flame of the romance burning as it was in the beginning, but to no avail. As you do this he gets farther and father each day, leaving you in confusion as to what happened and what you did wrong.

As far as you re concerned, you did nothing wrong as you only shared your feelings with him. How can telling the truth ruin the relationship, right?

This may have happened to you or to some of your girl friends. If you, or some girl you know, are in a relationship and you are on the verge of having an “honest emotional talk” with your boyfriend, you may want to remember the advice you can find in this article.

Talking honestly is not a bad idea as you need to be honest if you want to bring the relationship to a higher level. The problem comes when you tell him what you think and feel in a negative way. This negativity may come specially if you just survived a relationship that didn’t turn out well.

Being bitter about the past boyfriend will rub off your new boyfriend in a wrong way. You may be thinking that telling him about the past relationships would elicit sympathy from him, but it will just make him nervous about having a relationship with you. He would be thinking that he is having a relationship with someone who still has unresolved issues in the past that needs to be settled first.

You can almost be sure that he will start spending less and less time with you. Nobody would want to spend the rest of their lives with someone who can’t let go of the past, right?

If you think that there are still a lot of unresolved emotions from the bitter past, then it may not yet be the right time for you to begin a new relationship. Having a new boyfriend in your life will not make you forget the past until you have finally let it go and this will not be beneficial for your current relationship at all.

What should you do then? Resolve the negative emotions first before you jump off to a new relationship. Men can feel your negativity when you talk and believe me, he does not want to deal with somebody with a lot of emotional baggage. If you want this relationship to work then let go of the past.

Learn from the past and be happy with all the lessons you have learned. Good or bad, those lessons will make you a better and stronger woman, somebody who will definitely be attractive and interesting in the eyes of your new boyfriend.
