I've decided to get off of my soap box of hate and give white shoes the credit they deserve. There are some women that have feet that do not look like Norwegian Cruise Ships and are looking for the best in women's white shoes. The buck stops here. Before perusing Like.Com's search results for the ultimate best in white shoes for summer until Labor Day, read about how to wear and how not to wear white shoes.
The Dos:

Do: 'Wear Bright Colors: White shoes are the perfect addition to your brightly colored outfit. Women tend to wear brighter colors in warmer weather, so white shoes are an excellent choice for spring and summer months.
Do: Accent Your Complexion: If your complexion is dark, or you tan easily during the spring and summer months, white shoes are dynamic for your skin tone. Accent your complexion with a pair of white shoes.
Do: Choose Black and White Shoes: When paired together black and white make a dynamic duo. Think Oreos, Zebra, Audrey Hepburn, and even photos. Black and white shoes are no different. If you are unable to wear solid white shoes, consider a shoe with a white base and black accents or embellishments. Black accents can include soles, buckles, and embroidery.
Do: Wear White Shoes After Memorial Day and Before Labor Day: You've heard that old tale about wearing white after Memorial Day and before Labor Day. Will Zeus strike you if you don't adhere to this 'rule'? No. Will other women look you up and down for breaking the rule? Yes. If you don't care one way or the other, then sport your white shoes whenever you care to do so.
The Do Nots:
Do Not: Wear Black Pantyhose or White Pantyhose: It doesn't matter if you saw it on the run way and the hottest supermodel pulled the look off. Do not venture pass the trespassing signs or you will be sent straight to jail. Pantyhose should tie an outfit together and black pantyhose and white shoes will definitely send lightening bolts from Zeus your way. Unless you're a nurse, skip white pantyhose with your white shoes. If you really must wear pantyhose, opt for nude pantyhose or sheer pantyhose.
Do Not: Wear White Shoes to a Wedding: It doesn't matter if your dress is pastel. It doesn't matter if the bride's dress isn't white. Steer clear from wearing white shoes to a wedding.
Do Not: Wear White Shoes if You Have Larger Feet: Sorry, ladies. White shoes are appropriate for feet smaller than a size 8. White shoes make your feet appear larger, and if you don't want someone stating, 'My, what large feet you have!' then stay clear of white shoes.
