The priceless gift of God to humankind is his baby and you need to provide utmost safety and comfort as you owe that much to your baby. Your baby's safety is up to you despite of wherever your baby is. Whatever you baby is doing, whether he or she is sleeping, playing, just lying etc. you should keep a watchful eye over your baby. Your child is unaware of what is risky and what is not, so you as parents need to be very careful even when your baby is relaxing comfortably in his or her bed. You also need to be careful while your baby is resting in his or her crib and choose the right one for your little baby. Well, depending on the age and height of your baby, you can select a bed that is not only relaxing but is also quite secure. Here are a few things that need to be considered so as to ensure maximum safety to your baby in crib:

- Quality of the crib and the mattress: While buying a bed for your baby, please ensure that is of superior quality. Not just the crib, but also the mattress should be of high grade material that offers maximum comfort to your precious little baby. The mattress must be of the perfect size and there must not be a space of more than two fingers between the crib and the mattress.
- Arranging the baby crib: This is the other factor to be though of while putting your baby in the crib . Remember, your baby will be sleeping alone in the crib, so ensure that you provide your baby with the correct number of blankets that you feel is enough for cozy and relaxing sleep. Please check that the blankets are of perfect size so that you baby does not roll into it. One must also check that the baby is comfortably dressed with loose and warm night dress.

- Comfortable position: Make your baby lie on its back. Once your toddler grows up, he or she will take the most relaxing pose to sleep calmly.
- Room Temperature: The room temperature should be normal providing sufficient warmth your baby needs. Normally 70 degree F is perfect for your baby's comfortable sleep.

Here are a few things that need to be avoided to ensure maximum safety for your baby in crib:

- Avoid using plastic mattress sheets or bags below the crib mattress. If these sheets are near your baby's face, it may be harmful for your little one.
- The strings from the blinds or drapes must be away from the crib. Your baby may get strangulated.
- Do not use hanging toys or small toys in the bed. Your baby may get choked.
- Avoid putting fluffy and loose cushions in your baby bed as this might stuff into the mouth and choke the baby.

These few things will help you keep your baby totally safe in their cribs. Moreover, you shouldn't leave your baby on your bed unattended until your bed has sufficient railings on the sides to prevent your baby falling down from your bed. Remember, your baby is the priceless gift presented by the God. You need to secure your baby at every little step he or she takes.
