Owning a brand new dirt bike is a thrill all of its own, but don't discount the value that a used bike can bring to the table. The next time you are considering the purchase of used dirt bike, keep in mind these 4 good reasons:

Usually Very Affordability: If you consider the initial investment of a brand new bike, a used dirt bike can be very appealing. A dealer is not likely to haggle over the price of a new dirt bike when you visit the dealership, but a used dirt bike owner may be willing to come down on the price they are asking. At any rate a used bike is going to be substantially lower then a new dirt bike, and you are likely to get one at a very affordable price.
Purchasing a used dirt bike can save you a considerable amount of money, but still provide you with a great bike to ride.
They make Great Training Bikes: The cost of a new dirt bike can be quite expensive, especially for the first time rider. Basically you can spend as much on a new dirt bike as you are willing to pay. If you factor in riding gear also, you are talking about a major investment. A used dirt bike is good for developing riding skill also because you won't have to be concerned with dumping it a few times, and scratching up the paint job.

Good Source for Parts: Purchasing a used dirt bike that is the same model as your primary riding bike is a good investment. Considering the cost of brand new parts, a used dirt bike overall can be an economical source of used parts. Of course you don't want to pay too much for the used dirt bike then it would cost you to buy the parts new. If the bike is not over 5 years old, or if parts have been replaced recently, a used dirt bike can be a great source of parts.

Already Broke In: A new dirt bike is a great bike to own and ride, but there is nothing like a bike that has been broken-in properly. Newer dirt bikes tend to be stiff, and can take a few hundred hours of riding to loosen them up, but a used bike that is not too old, or hasn't been abused can provide a seasoned ride right from the start. A used dirt bike can offer hundreds of hours of enjoyable on, or off track riding enjoyment.
