What Can You Do With Live Animation?

Live animation, also referred to as digital puppetry, is an interesting form of entertainment. It involves an actor wearing a special sensor suit moving around while a computer tracks his or her movements. These movements are then translated to a computer generated character in real time. This means that the computer character follows the exact motions of the actor as the actor makes those motions. It's similar to the way a puppet would move its hand when the actor moved his hand, except the actor controls the computer generated character via sensors worn on his body.

There are many different things that can be done with live animation. One of the most common is digital puppetry on television. A computer generated character appears on the monitor with live actors, but instead of being controlled by a computer, the digital character's motions are all done by an actor wearing a special motion capture suit. Sometimes, the digital character is created separately and then digitally inserted into the filmed scene. In this case, a stand-in is usually used for the digital character so that the live actors know where the digital character will be and can react to its actions.

Another use of live animation is for live entertainment events. You can have a large screen set up displaying the digital characters while the actors connected to them wander around the event or dance underneath the screen. This technique can be used for more than just entertainment. It can be used for a large presentation, for example, when the motions of the presenter aren't visible to audience members sitting way in the back. It can also be used outdoors for various purposes, including allowing the actor to mingle with the crowd while still making the computer character act out various motions.

Live animation has also been used in theme parks, including Disney Land. Here, digital puppets are often inserted into various attractions and rides. This allows the digital characters to actually interact with participants, something that using pre-recorded video or created computer characters would not allow. This makes the attractions much more popular and allows children to interact with some of their favourite Disney characters, something that is widely popular.

Because live animation allows for computer generated characters to be manipulated in real time, it has become more and more popular, and in many ways, it has replaced traditional puppetry. Because the characters can be filmed and moved just like real actors, it allows television shows to get a better idea of what the finished product will look like, unlike computer animation where the animated character is usually added in after the live filming is completed.
