In some cases, magnetic resonance imaging can be used but only in areas that are far from one’s uterus so as not to affect the pregnancy and pose risks to the baby. In most cases, radiation therapy is ruled out because of the risks that it involves.
Treatments for Thromboembolic Disorders
The main treatment for thromboembolic disorders during pregnancy is through taking anticoagulant in order to make the blood more viscous and to melt blockages in the veins, which is usually from fatty deposits in the body. Such measure is also religiously monitored to make sure that the medication will pose no harm on the mother’s and baby’s health. Other methods of treatment such as intravenous treatments are used only in certain cases and do not apply in general to all pregnancies.
