In the ancient world when the money was not invented. There was only system of the exchange of goods and services. All goods and services were exchanged by other equivalent goods and services. At that stage the life of the person was simple.
People are exchanging goods and service by the other goods or service which person wants to get.

This Barter system was in use when there was no proper trade or service. IN this systyme many errors has been found.. This Barter system was not useful for the development of trade and economy. If this system was in current period then it may be possible that the development of goods and service might be not good as it has been developed now.

There was many advantage and disadvantages of the barter system. But in practical there were more disadvantages of barter system then advantages. The most disadvantage of the barter system

1. Wants from two sides:

Person will only exchange goods or service when both have want of the goods and service. If the person who do not want to exchange and other want to exchange then the exchange of goods will not be possible.

2. NO PROPER VALUE OF GOODS

At The time of barter system there was not proper value of the goods and services.
The barter system was done by the base that who are crisis of goods or service
3. Individuality
It was difficult to divide a commodity without loss in its value e.g. Man who are making clothes no able to exchange there clothes till he do not found the person who want to take there clothes.

4. Not able to calculate It’s real Value:

In the barter system real value of goods and service is not able to calculate as the transaction is being only on goods to goods. This is the most difficulty in the barter system. In the world only the two systems are exist either there is only the money in the world. Or there are only the goods and service there is no money in the world.

As we are doing the all the activities only for goods and the service.
