If it’s not, then don’t spend a whole lot of money on these pieces for you will just end up not wearing them after sometime. Spend on items that you constantly use and are a staple in your wardrobe like a pair of good structured jeans or a black dress.
If you have a current favorite style or color of clothing, then use that as a guide in buying your next items. If they look good on you, then what you will buy will most probably look good on you as well and will blend with the rest of your wardrobe.
Fit is very important and there is no one generic fit so find out what fits your body perfectly. Take note of your best features and highlight them as well as downplay the areas that you want to hide. If you have toned arms, then show them off with sleeveless tops. If you are proud of your legs, then draw attention to them by wearing miniskirts, shorts and capris. One great way to draw attention to an area is through the use of bright colors while hiding an area would entail using darker colors. Horizontal stripes make you look wider while vertical lines make you look taller.
Hold up the clothing to your body before going to the dressing room because by doing that, you can establish if that clothing suits your skin color and style. Move around once you’ve tried out the clothes just to check out how the clothes move with you.
When it comes to pants, it is best to ignore the printed kinds and just go for what fits best. The cut is also very important, however, remember that flairs make your hips looks slimmer but it will make your legs look shorter. Have extremely long pants altered because it will make you look shorter. Tapered skinny pants will make you look curvier while the straight leg cut will make you appear to have longer legs.
